Academic and Performance Programs

Educational and Artistic Enrichment for Students Passionate about Music

  • Music Academic Core Curriculum: Our core curriculum provides serious students of music with college/conservatory-level proficiency in Music Theory, Ear-Training and Music History. Pre-college work in these areas allow students to “pass out” of  entry-level classes in college and thus provides more time for private practice and ensemble performance. These classes are generally appropriate for students ages 12 through high school.

  • Elective Classes: Music electives broaden and deepen a student’s education providing  context and enrichment through such classes as composition, conducting, creative expression and Dalcroze-Eurhythmics.

  • Performance Studies: These classes are open to highly advanced students and provide public performance opportunities, master-class lessons taught by distinguished visiting guest artists, peer-to-peer evaluation and orchestral audition preparation.

  • Ensembles and Chamber Music: Our Chamber Music program offers opportunities to perform and learn in a structured environment.
