Margaret Pressley is the Founding Director and Starling Artistic Director of Violin Studies at the Seattle Conservatory of Music. She is well-known throughout the country as one of the foremost instructors of pedagogy for pre-college violinists.

The Seattle Conservatory of Music, in concert with the Dorothy Richard Starling Foundation, are delighted to present Master Teacher Robert Lipsett (Jasha Heifetz Distinguished Violin Chair at the Colburn Conservatory) in a master class, to be followed by an illuminating panel discussion about careers in music. Laura Liepins, Director of Artistic Administration, Career Development and Colburn Artists, as well as Simone Porter, a student at the Conservatory and Seattle Symphony soloist, will join Professor Lipsett. This event is FREE and open to the general public. All seating is general admission, and no tickets are required. Starts at 4pm at the Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall – Benaroya Hall
